I've worked many jobs before, mostly retail, and I'm getting a degree in Communications (just finished the last class needed to graduate).
Mainly, I don't want to lose the time that I currently have now that I'm (currently) unemployed. I want to still have my happiness and sanity in check. But of course, I want to work my career.
I understand that having a job is no picnic or else I wouldn't be here in this subreddit.
What do you think? How can I make working a job for a living, well, bearable? I'm thinking of joining a union, though I have no illusion that that may come with certain obligations.
Basically, what suggestions, tips, tricks, etc. do you have when working, say, a 9-to-5 job?
I may also try my hand at working as a journalist, but that's coming slowly, and I may just work in advertising and social media strategy.
Thanks in advance! I can give you more details about my current status and situation, if you want.
