What’s a good sickness to justify an extended remote leave?

I work as a software engineer and am finding my boss increasingly unbearable. What makes my work really rough is that he’ll arbitrarily claim he needs me in the office and I can’t work remotely, and then I end up just coding all day… like everyday. I actually like the work and need to stick with the job, but in todays day and age it’s ridiculous that I have to come into the office when the rest of the team works remotely and I just do the same stuff they do. I’m looking for a good lie to ask that I can work remotely for a long period (a few months) I’ll happily get my work done, just at a safe distance from my awful boss.
