What’s my goal?

When I was 12, I got a job as a paperboy. It gave me spending money for pizza, Mt Dew, comics, etc. When I was 16 I got a job at a summer camp, and spent my money on cigarettes and saving for college. Not really looking for advice, just…understanding, maybe?
