I’m in the catering and serving industry. I’ll be On-Call let’s say from 9 to 5. Then, something comes up, or my coworker(s) is slow, and they expect me to stay till 6 or 7 until everything is done. Now if I leave because “I was scheduled until 5”, I’m leaving work unfinished and I can expect management to hit me with that “well if you can’t stay late we just won’t depend on you” (aka less calls)
The thing is these people like to stay an hour or more every chance they get. They work, then they go home.
Not me. I have a life, and hobbies, and go to school, and I don’t wanna hang around for a few f*****g dollars.
