Bit of a less terrible story (at least on my end). I'm not gonna go too far into the details, but TLDR, I recently broke a record of daily tasks at my work, and as a result the boss asked me to talk with him. He planned to raise my pay overall and says he plans bigger stuff for me as a result. (Not quite sure on the details of it yet.) However, he was adamant that I should not share the information regarding my raise with anyone at all.
I'm legitimately confused why he'd think this is a bad thing. Wouldn't it make more sense to let the others know that there IS in fact a reward for doing more?
I figured I'd ask here as I have literally no idea on this. Anyone else have any ideas?
