I haven't given 2 weeks notice since before Covid. What's the best way these days to do so in writing? I want to give notice and protect myself without being cold, and without telling them what my new job is. I also want to leave the door open as a contracted consultant/part time on call worker.
Context: I am super grateful to my employer of the last 3 years who kept me on thru many medical leaves. My boss and I have a good relationship. Overall the job sucks and I found a happy place but at the end of the day it's a shit job. I was not paid enough and I have a post-grad degree that never once got utilized.
