I can't understand why I get ghosted from jobs so often. Actually has been happening since like 4 years ago, this is kind of funny, I moved to a new city, interviewed at a taco bell just to get something right away. They seemed kind of pressed for workers and I had food service experience. Interview went just fine, didn't hear back until months later when the manager asked if I wanted to interview. (LOL)
I chalked it up to just terrible and messy management at taco bell. But it hasn't been just taco bell, it's been numerous times interviewing since then and then not getting rejected or accepted. Just never hearing about it again. I've sent follow up emails. I just don't get it. Sometimes for jobs that had multiple screenings or rounds to it as well. Like they are putting in effort.
At this point I actually respect managers that email me a generic rejection letter. I'm just wondering if this has always been true, or if it's a new thing because there's just so many applicants? A lot of places say they are urgently hiring, though, and I keep hearing nobody wants to work. Sucks out there.
