I'm a department manager in a retail setting and today my hr lady gave me a 16 year pin for my service. Then proceeded to ask if I wanted her to take my picture for the company Facebook page. I said no and threw my pin in the trash. I don't like my job and I hate the company I work for but I've been doing it so long it'd be hard for anywhere else to match my pay and benefits. Why do they want me to celebrate how long I've stuck it out with there company. I don't want a reminder of how long I've worked there either. Just save the pin and give me a yearly bonus instead.
