when the interviewer keeps asking; “do you have any questions for me?” anybody have any insight on the method behind this?

All that really matters to me is the rate of pay and the hours.. what would they possibly want me to ask? I’m able to pull a few innocuous questions out of my ass but eventually I feel like I am wrong for not asking more questions. Any opinions or insights would be useful, thank you guys
