I keep my managers at arms length and never engage them unless I absolutely have to. I show up and do my work without speaking a word to them.
I got a bad review because they thought I was goofing off. We had a meeting and it turns out they just ASSUMED I was goofing off because they never see me. We “agreed” to be more communicative… but should I?
