Sometimes I worry about it. Sometimes I honestly do not. Largely because if the menial jobs are automated. Who's gonna pay the taxes and handle certain tasks? I hate using self service checkouts. I always need some kind of help at the store. So, I don't think automaton puts people like me in mind. But if so many blue collar and white collar jobs are automated. Who's gonna keep paying into the system? Not just taxes, but other parts of our infrastructure. It's always some rich douchebag who never thinks of the aftermath of what would be such a cataclysmic change.
Now as an American I have to fault labor for allowing this slow moving virus to infect the minds of so many people. By labor I'm primarily addressing these union heads who placed political appointments over doing the right thing. While a part of me is excited about automation. Another part of me fears the aftermath.
