They are a threat to all of our livelihoods. Even something as basic as having to tell them the call is being recorded.. if I pickup and the caller immediately starts ranting before I can say it, I'll still get written up. Retail, if I don't just take the insults or stand and listen to a guy rant about BLM, I get written up.
IT.. if I'm not magically able to determine that the store is lying because they don't want to troubleshoot, or lying because they want an extra iPad, it could come back to me. This is where I'm currently at. It hasn't happened but so many people that call in will be completely freaking the fuck out, having panic attacks over nothing, and then explaining things like the Donald Trump “My uncle” quote where it's all over the place and I have to pieve together their stresms of consciousness.
These jobs are pretty fucking easy, but the one hurdle is always someone being completely uncooperative and immature. And that's where we get judged.
