Why does the work environment have to be so unpleasant for the majority of jobs? I’m not talking physical surroundings but the general attitude of employers towards their staff.

I work as a lowly cleaner,I used to enjoy my job,I just got on with it,early shifts,no people around, it was bliss. Then the office Karens decided that I needed some work related stress in my life for the minimum wage I get paid. Now I go home and worry about work instead of relaxing. And most of my previous jobs were similar, someone turns up and makes up useless rules to piss everyone off just because they can. There's never any flexibility, no give and take,I'm totally fed up with everything. The thought of having to go through this til I'm 70 makes me so depressed. Especially when there is no need for all the aggro.
