Why I didn’t choose them..

I have been unemployed for a few months now,, but last Friday I received two job offers. I went with the first one for a few obvious reasons. Good company and culture, decent pay, great benefits package and 3 weeks PTO. But the job has a risk element involved were it could end suddenly or little to no upward mobility. The second job I interviewed with 4 times, 3 of them in person, including a visit to the site I would be taking over. And there was talk about how the company is quickly growing and they liked me for potential movement upwards in the company. But there were to me some huge red flags.

For a salaried, management position there was ZERO benefit package. Not even basic medical. The position I was interviewing for change several times during the process. During one interview I would be looking at taking over location A, but during the next interview it was location B. And during the final interview I straight asked what the pay was going to be (since the site was an hour away from home and I'd need to pay my own medical and they knew that) neither of the two people I was with were willing or able to tell me. Which told me I was about to get low balled. The whole process felt like one giant red flag and I would have ended up miserable there.
