Why my company can’t keep anyone

Why everyone hates my company: It’s basically everything feloniousfalafel says. People don’t get paid s**t so they “can’t find anyone” and the people they do have give minimal effort (I don’t blame them at all). It’s never “in the budget” to give people raises and they for some reason still have the mindset of “nobody wants to work anymore”. On top of this, Management micromanages everyone with a system where you have to log everything you do (including breaks). Management is extremely passive when it comes to punishment (I explain what I mean later). Now they don’t do anything illegal (what a surprise, but also sad that I have to mention it) like some things I’ve read on here. My personal grievance: I’m a Logistics Coordinator and in my role, I’m essentially an over glorified shipping coordinator. I have to check in truck drivers who have to be the dumbest…

Why everyone hates my company:

It’s basically everything feloniousfalafel says.

My personal grievance:

I’m a Logistics Coordinator and in my role, I’m essentially an over glorified shipping coordinator. I have to check in truck drivers who have to be the dumbest mother f**kers of all time. We go by appointments for pickups and they completely ignore that. They show up all at once or when im in the middle of something and sometimes a little bit of both. When I tell them their order is not ready, they sometimes ask what door I want them in like their the only one showing up??? They also get mad at me when I can’t tell them when their loads are going to be ready, like I can tell how long it’s going to take??? When they come to me with a delivery and I tell them to go out front (receiving), they’ll ask me where that is. THEY LITERALLY COME IN FROM THE FRONT, THERE ARE 2 GIANT DOCK DOORS OUT FRONT. I EVEN POINT IN THE DIRECTION AND THEY STILL DONT GET IT.

Now I understand their frustration with their loads not being ready because they have delivery appointments they have to make.

I also print out the orders for the guys to pull, make sure we don’t take any cuts (check inventory and check with production and quality to see if the items will be available on time). If the guys tell me something is “not there” (not where it’s supposed to be in the warehouse) I have to give them a new location.

Sometimes when I’m printing out orders, the system will tell me we don’t have enough stock even though we do. I have to reach out to our customer service team and usually they can’t fix it. This can all happen while trucks are here to pick up their loads witch just adds an extra layer of bs to everything (this just makes the truck drivers even more angry and my life more miserable).

One last thing, my boss is super passive when it comes to punishment. If someone messes up, he’ll tell them not to do it again. Now when they do the same thing, my boss will just keep telling them not to do it with no actual repercussions. When he wants to get rid of someone, he’ll just write them up for essentially breathing the wrong way (you all know what this means) while not writing up other people for the same things (it’s basically like this in all departments). When the guys mess up, it’s essentially my job to fix everything.

My main point is that I’m not paid enough to deal with all the bullshit I’ve listed.
