Wife had a great job she loves and is great at as recruiter. Tons of all-around experience with HR in industrial manufacturing, moved to this job a few years ago because it was remote and it helped me because I transferred and got promoted because all I know is operations. She's been a saint, with a 2 year old and 5 month old daughters, balancing between everything. And she really loved what she was doing.
Of course they go and put her on furlough “through just December, hopefully.” Merry Christmas. Fiscal year ends soon, so obviously gotta make the books look better.
I know we'll make it. But this woman is a rockstar. She will openly accept doing interviews at 7:30, 8:00 whenever at night to make things work for candidates, when most of her team fucks around, she's working the hot spots in the company. A lot of other people had to go through that today as well. She's such a wonderful mother and works hard at her job. I don't feel anywhere near as capable as she is, she is so wonderful at everything.
All I can say is fuck these bean counter corporate overlords that just want to make their numbers look good for the board and hang real, hardworking, and caring people out to dry and suffer. Do they not wonder why their company sucks?
