Wife quit – no acknowledgement by Supervisor, Manager or Director

My wife ‘Caroline’ recently quit her job. She had been working as a speech therapist in a new inpatient rehab unit in a hospital. Last Tuesday after another day of being ignored by her bosses for help, covering roles outside of her role and feeling that the level of care she is able to provide was sub-par, we agreed that she should quit, Caroline emailed her bosses that she was resigning. Caroline worked 4 DAYS without her resignation being acknowledged by her bosses, not a “sorry that this didn’t work” or “can we chat? Maybe there is something we could do?” NOTHING.
