So my wife has been trying to get a decent paying job for a while now. Currently she is working at a restaurant chain that said she'd “make 18 an hour” and get “30 hours a week”. Her pay rate is 6.25 and she gets cash tips but even then only averages to about 10 at best. She applied to work front desk at a hotel “7am-3pm M-F” and I think the advertised rate was 12 or 12 and hour. She got the interview and when she went in the person there did not ask any questions other than. “How long will it take you to learn the system?” My wife said about a day or 2. The lady asked her come back at 10pm to learn the system, did not give her an offer letter, and said “training is unpaid.” She dropped that place like a sack of bricks and couldn't be happier for her. She passed the local Civil service test and is till waiting to hear back so. 🤞
