European based company with a branch in the US. Small outfit with no HR or anything along those lines. Highest ranking employee is the local VP. Employee moral in general is low given and overall lack of trust by head office.
Local VP decides to hold a competition every week where he will “vote on” the best dressed and those with the best hair. Argues because he is gay that it’s nothing the women in the office need to worry about. Wife has ignored this entirely and continued dressing office casual.
Have told my wife to see if she can ever get proof of that or his comments via email and immediately call him out if he ever makes a negative comment to her. It’s clear it is not something in line with the head office. That said, there’s a clear history of head office covering up past issues without acknowledging. People from other department that have quit are referred as “too slow” and “weak” for the companies fast paced environment (while ignoring the reasons they have quit).
Pay is decent and the only reason she is staying. Continuing to collect the check whie applying to other jobs.
