Work advice Arizona

I’ve had a few run ins with my employer so far since I started working. I have since went to the dol and now am waiting….. while waiting he is now going after a friend of mine. Seems he sent him home for being a no call no show for going to a doctors appointment for a permanent disability after telling them prior about it. I don’t know if any of this is proctected by az law
