Work advice
Hey everyone,
I recently went back to work and got a state job. For context I'm rated 100% P&T by the VA, so I tend to hurt a lot. I was very excited to get a job in Virginia doing something that wouldn't aggrevate my disabilities. I'm still in a year long probationary period. So the issue at hand is this. My boss has told me that she is disappointed and does like me for the job. She's made some accusations about my work ethic that I have never had any other person complain about. Yesterday she sat me down for my monthly performance review. She wrote that I do my job duties, a couple of improves that I agree with, but at the end she wrote took 30 hours of sick leave and 40 hours of vacation. The vacation was planned before I started work and expressed on day 1, as part of my salary negotiation they credited me 40 hours of vacation. The sick leave was for pneumonia and a day of severe back pain related to my disability. My supervisor writing that on a performance review seems like a reprimand to me. I believe in my state, virginia, this is a no-no. Do any of you guys have suggestions on what I should do? What are your opinions? I've been really trying to look at myself and be mindful at work, but this person seems to have it out for me.
