I’ve been having a ton of trouble getting back in the workforce after Covid
Before Covid, I worked my ass off in a job that I loved, was told I could get a raise after a year
Worked at least 3 different roles besides the job I was hired for, yet when raise time happened they offered maybe 1,000 more. about what inflation would have been anyway
How do you stay motivated or find jobs that actually have upward mobility without management telling you that you didn’t go “above and beyond “
Unless “above and beyond” has clear parameters I don’t understand why you would do more work in the vague hope you might get more
I understand raised aren’t guaranteed but I can’t go through new job searches every time a boss reneges their offer of a raise
Any help appreciated
