I work for the NHS in an admin role.
The core hours are 8-4
I asked for and was granted a 6-2 shift instead
And now they do nothing but complain that I am not there after 2, as they need someone until 4
I offered to look for a job else where, so they can get someone else in to work the 8-4, no they don't want that, they want me to stay but do the 8-4…well, I don't want that ….and the big boss has all but stopped talking to me as she cannot get her on way.
What I find with work, they hardly ever concentrate on what you do well (good attendance, for example). It is always peck, peck, peck
