45 year old guy. they made him unload truck. he was encouraged to work 12, 13, 14 hour shifts. he had heart problems. he got hospitalized twice just in the last 2 months for severe chest pain and irregular heartbeat.
he died last night, a few hours before his shift. he had just gotten out of the hospital a week ago, and right back into the 12 hour day grind to pay his child support.
you were a goofy ass guy, and god damn i’m gonna miss you wayne. as far as i’m concerned my boss has blood on his hands. i wish you listened when i told you to slow down, bub. i wish this system did not fail you. i’m glad you didn’t have to die at work.
