Hello! I'm a nurse in Illinois. Does anyone know any resources for my rights as an employee for the state?
Some topics I'd like to know more on – Is it legal for my manager to force me to work overtime in a week? (They want me to do four 12 hr shifts one week, two 12 hr shifts the next week, so technically not OT per the pay period. But I also don't want to work that many shifts in one week. I was told it's not an option to say no.) If I want a witness to be present when I speak to my manager, am I allowed to decline the conversation until I have another individual present? And so on.
We have a new manager who is quite shady and is micromanaging our unit. Any resources would be greatly appreciated!
