Working in a war zone

So i live in Israel, before anyone starts, i don't support the subjugation of gazza, nor this authoritarian religious fanatic government we have in charge. There were thousands of rockets shot on civilian population yesterday, hand hundreds were murdered or abducted, and thousands injured, several rockets even landed in my city. I asked my boss's security what are we supposed to do about work, apparently if we take the day off it's considered taking a PTO day, i get 12 PTO days a year, and i currently have 3 left. I arrived at work against the better judgement of my husband, I'm literally here alone, none of my coworkers have arrived, my boss hasn't arrived, his secretary hasn't arrived. Just feeling fooled because I'm assuming this will not actually be taken as a PTO day. And I'm still here working.
