Working in entertainment. To anyone who books at the last possible minute for the latest possible time, I wish you the worst

So many last minute cancelled plans, so many times I have to rush in on a day off because of big waves, so many times I've had to pause important training to stand around for hours at the venue. You “””people””” have zero respect for our time, yet expect us to give 100% every single booking. I hate when you keep coming late and force me to stay later, I hate that you can't follow basic instructions, I hate pulling 10+hr shifts because you can't plan anything right and think calling in and delaying your booking by an hour is the best fix. I'm always pissed off when I see you add things to your basket, I wish you would just once book an earlier slot so for once I can return home before 11:30pm. We act really nice during the booking but behind the smile and happy attitude, we want you to drop dead. I'm NOT happy that I'm stuck here at 10pm because you booked on a drunken whim and arrived 20mins late. If I was allowed to, I'd lock the venue down and leave you standing outside until you piss off.

I'm glad I've passed all the firefighter recruitment currently so I can look forward to leaving. If I didn't have this, I would have snapped on one of these customers already.

Had to vent after today's shift.
