Working less often

So this started after our company only gave us a 1.3% raise at the beginning of the year during the worst inflation hike we've seen in years. They stated that because they didn't meet revenue goals that everyone would be getting really low raises, if at all. However, the first month of the year we hit 40% over goal which was super convenient for them. This mixed with a promise to me that I'd recv a raise in June that didn't come till September and a missed paycheck that cost the company $15k which I was being blamed for because I called them out for late fees. I've been leaving earlier and earlier each day, but for easy math I figure Ive averaged leaving early by 30 minutes every day. We've completed 195 working days this year. That means I took back 97.5 hours of my life. Roughly 2.5 weeks.

This 2.5 weeks haven't been wasted either. I've started my own business that's starting to make me a little money on the side and picked up a 2nd part time job that offers me plenty of stories and laughs as I do it for fun rather than the money.

This is my little rebellion and I'm willing to stand by it as small and insignificant as it may seem.
