Just wanting to see my options on this potential firing or if there’s nothing I can do
I work at a grocery store and have been working for the company for 6 years. I recently transferred locations to this store and we haven’t really gotten along so far. I requested off of work for Today from our department head (Cindy) and she said “Gotcha” directly after asking. The schedule comes out last week and I’m scheduled for today anyways. I’ve attempted to get someone to switch shifts with me anyways just trying to help everyone out. Long story short after asking her about it multiple times, she never said anything else about it. I called 4 hours before my shift today to call in and spoke to our store manager (Bill). He told me he expects me to show up. I don’t have much evidence of this but I believe the department head and another coworker (her best friend), really want me gone. Is there anything I can do if I show up to work and they try to fire me over this? Thanks for any info.
