Would it be wrong to quit a week or two after hiring in?

I just accepted a job last week, and I start orientation this Friday, and start work next Monday. It's a welding job that's 40 minutes away from me, and I'm making $17 starting out. I've found out (thanks to my last post on my account) that it's sort of insulting low in Ohio. I want to interview other places to see of I can get another job that pays better. I still want the job so I have an income for the next 2-4 weeks before I find another job. Is it unprofessional to quit 2-4 weeks into the job? My other question would be, say I work at job A for $17, and find out I want to work at job B because they're paying me $20. Would it be wrong of me to ask job A to pay me $21 for me to stay? Any advice is appreciated,…
