Hello, i started working on this company as CNC 7 years ago, they took me with no experience (My first job and first company) and i was working on a CNC Machine 3 axis. I had a person teaching me how to “learn” to work but that person left 3 years ago. When they took me as apprentice my salary was around 1200 euro with no experience at all (I Was with that person that was training me).
After all this years i went from 1 Machine, to learning and running when needed (not always) 3 machine CNC + doing Cad-Cam programs and also putting tools, removing tools, changing tools, pretty much i do everything from the start to the end, nobody else can do it or is capable of doing it and if i am sick my machine is turned off.
After all this time my salary went up from 1200 euro to 1300 euro, exactly. I never really felt being appreciated or nobody has ever told me good job even when i was pretty proud of myself, i do take a lot of interest in making things with high standard to make happy the customers and also i spent a lot of my free time at home studying machine language and learning 3d cam all on my own pretty much.
I do like the people inside this company but i always have an issue which is being Shy, possibly one of the reason why yet i am still here. I spoke with my boss many times about it without really asking about more salary but saying things such as “We can try this new way, i learned yesterday at home, i bought a CNC book to improve our quality” but seems like that he is completely not interested about it or even that does dislike me trying to make “changes” to our work system. What do you think should i do or handle it? In a way i feel a bit low because that's my first ever workplace and they accepted me with no experience.
