I have a job I really love. I’m being poached from another company in our same industry so the work would be very similar but environment is unknown.
It is an additional $50k to what I make now, but my current work/life balance is amazing. I’m sick and have ALS (which means I’m dying in the next few years). So work life balance means a lot to me.
This new job knows about my disease but of course I have no idea what things will be like when I move.
My issue is I like my work/life balance but I’m dying. I also want to make the most I can before I go for my wife and child so they are set. It’s a bit of a unique situation and curious for some input.
The new company of course says all the right things but you never know. Grass isn’t always greener.
