Out of nowhere I was offered a supposed promotion in a reshuffling. It was presented as why aren't you happy about this but he refused to give me a clear job title or salary. On Monday he was upset that I would speak to HR about the new role and when I asked for a clear job title he told me not to get caught up on hierarchy.
On Tuesday without warning I got a phone call and she was furious saying that he had told me not to go to HR before and I had done it again, which I had to inquire about the salary range for the position. Then he gave me an offer thousands of dollars less than what other people in the same company are making including the guy I would be working next to and told me this isn't negotiation take it or leave it.
I presented my side anyway including all the figures I'd received from our Union, Glassdoor and people at the company who just openly shared their exact salary with me which further enraged him.
I have been working around the clock for the last 6 months doing two people's jobs since the moment I was employed and my boss went on leave for months. I have trained myself and up until now all I have received is glowing praises.
I guess this is just a vent. I am in shock and obviously looking for new roles immediately.
