Am a chef…and i have a dilemma

Am a chef in a small town restorant We hire a young female 28years as in kitchen assistant She's not married but raising a kid by herself. When she came to ask for work she told us that she needs 2 days off per week and her schedule must be kept meaning that she could not do overtime. I had no problem with that. And we came to an agreement. After the first month she constantly starting to be late 5-6 minutes. the problem with that was that the coworker that she was supposed to change shift with she was always leaving late. (Also female 24) I told her what the problem was and I want her to be on time. And I gave her many notices after that she still is being late. Not all the time but very often. Pointless meetings

So at my current role we tend to work alone on 1 man shifts. Whenever I clock in I have to check in with the previous guy which is just an email of all the tasks I need to do during my shift, I don't actually need to speak to them. However when my boss comes in about 2 hours later, I have to attend a mandatory teams meeting discussing all the points in the email. Just read the damn email like me? Why do I need to waste time bluddy talking about it? Most of the time there's barely anything to talk about and it's geetting to the point where I don't expand on anything and just say the bare minimum. He'll then drag out the time repeating things I've already heard before and the process repeats itself the next day.. Anyone else experience this?

Fair work question – Queensland

I’ve been trying to find out online if this is legal, basically I had an argument with my Manager yesterday on the phone, not so much an argument as he started to raise his voice at me so I just hung up on him, today he has called me into the office and told me that if “my attitude “ gets out of hand again he will expect my resignation, otherwise I would be getting a written warning. I just laughed and said no worries mate. For context I am a manager of 25 people myself, so I’m not a kid or an apprentice (not that it should matter) But I was not offered any HR rep, or union Rep ect for our little meeting, what should I do ?

Come back to office to build relationships!

So I work for a very large company. All jobs that didn’t absolutely require you to be physically present were WFH for past two years. Several times they thought we were going to return but pushed out because of COVID. Yay! So last summer they start telling us we’re going back in September. That while we are doing great from home, they believe there is value in coming into the office to build relationships and collaborate, etc. Everyone was going to be coming back in three days a week. Tuesday and Wednesday were mandatory for all so that we could actually see people (vs people picking their days and then you could potentially never see people who didn’t come in those same days)and then some people would come in on Monday and some on Thursday. Managed to air my grievances against one of the managers, how seriously that will be taken remains to be seen.
