They pit us against each other (it's a fun game), make promises they can't keep(student debt relief/equality/etc), rob all our wealth from under our feet, and turning us into rent cattle. The only thing the 2 party system has accomplished is install “tot@l energy, ExxM0bil, BeePee oil, etc” and privatize oil that was once nationalized. Struggling with life as all my energy goes towards working or struggling to do the things that make it necessary to live (cook, clean, laundry, shopping, exercise etc). There are few things that make life enjoyable and most of them require time and/or money. We might be lucky enough to buy a house one day, but we will spend our lives working off the exorbitant mortgage and its unlikely we'll ever see the quality of life the boomers have in their retirement. I'm exhausted all the time and I'm struggling to see the point.

So, recently there is new PHD student under me (i'm a researcher in a rather prestigious uni), and i hate how my PI favors her just because she is from the same course as him. it's unfair for my other students who came in batch(es) before her. and right now he added her into my project which is ending soon and it annoys the hell out of me because he created a weird atmosphere where I report to her what I have done for the project. I'm just avoiding her like the plague for these few months but he keeps pulling and PUSHING HER TO ME. i hate it i hate it i hate it.
