I work at this very friendly company as soon as I graduated. Awesome ppl here. I do admin work and have been doing the same thing for the past 9 months. I am late every morning but never get caught cos the boss comes in after me or he has a meeting early and only sees me after I arrive. Im also on my phone for a couple hours every day. My employer recently took down some pro union literature in our staff room and has threatened the whole team with getting solicitors involved if any other material is found. Not sure what the laws are in the UK regarding union busting and removing union literature? Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I used to work at a social media company right out of college. Dumb amount of money for living in a huge city and being graduated for a week. I was only a contractor so no benefits or PTO, but besides that I was able to spend whatever I wanted. My contract ended at the height of COVID and I found a new job that was permanently WFH. I absolutely love my team, but after two years I only got two small raises that bring me nowhere near what I used to make. Let me start by telling you this is basically my own fault. I never got my college degree because I never knew what I wanted to be when I grew up. Worked a series of jobs my whole life – a few good, most of them shitty. I’ve worked retail, customer service, been the manager of a couple movie theaters, you name it. Nowadays I work in the mortgage industry as an appraisal assignment coordinator. It’s dull, tedious, and unfulfilling work and the place is run like a sweatshop with a skeleton crew. I’m a remote employee. I live 2000 miles away from my office and have never seen the faces of my supervisor or manager, despite working there just over a year now.
