Dale Gribble: Of course they do! They do all the work for them! Ass… (This is pro “r/antiwork”, btw, in case that misses someone)
Month: April 2022
Ok, that's a horribly worded title forgive me. I work in a skilled trade and the job itself (meaning the work alone) is nice, I like how it makes me think and problem solve. My views of our society and it's structure are at odds with they way we are 'supposed' to be; working hard, hardly sleeping, hurting the ones we love because we are so grouchy from work etc etc. That's besides the point. My supervisor is the type of person I'd never wanna be. Fake nice, fake encouragement, fake fake fake fake fake. I don't like the eyes when they convey an “I'm more important than you, have more power than you, you are MY bitch”. First off, I'll break your whole face if you looked at me/spoke to me like that outside of work. The only reason these mf's act like this is cause they know they…
Severance is great anti-work tv
Anyone here watching Severance? I assumed Severance was going to be something completely different than what it is, which is actually a sort of Antiwork manifesto. The whole premise – that workers can’t remember their personal lives while at work, and vice versa – could go a lot of different ways. But the way it actually went was peak 2022. Without getting into spoiler level details, it’s about workers recognizing the pointlessness of office culture.

Lie on your resume about employment gaps
As I got older (am 46) and my earlier jobs receded further into the past, I realized that no one is going to research whether I left a job in April, May, or June of 2009. So I have a few gaps in my resume. I went through a patch where I got fired, tried to start a business, and frankly struggled for a bit before I found my footing again. It’s never come up in job interviews because I don’t let it. I just change the dates on my resume to show no gaps. No one has checked. Who has the time? Who cares that much?
Is this CNBC budget realistic?
I have a $300 gift card. If I went and bought an item and immediately returned it, it would only be for store credit right? Only asking because I am hungry and get my check on monday. I was waiting for a fathers day sale so the gift card would take me further but food would do that well right now.
