interviewer said two staff are leaving – red flag?

Initially auto rejected by the recruitment website for this organisation, recruiter called full of apologies asking me to interview, agreed as didn't want to be rude. Interview didn't go well, forgot the company's values etc. What stuck out was being asked if I can cope being thrown in at the deep end as both members of this team will be leaving before I would start? Has this ever happened to anyone else and got the job and did ok? Am I being silly or is this a red flag? I have an offer from another company so I'm not bothered either way but it seemed strange.

Senior management complaining that another company is poaching our staff…

Sat in the office today listening to the HR manager and other senior managers moan about how x or y company keep recruiting our staff members – like they've been headhunted, rather than gone somewhere that they are fairly compensated for their time. Here's a thought – actually pay people what they are worth so that they don't want to leave, then if they actually DO get poached your competition has to pay the premium… Why is that hard to understand?

My Old Boss Gave $1 scratch off tickets and a self help book as Christmas bonuses

I was looking through my bookshelf and found the self help, get rich book she gave us and just remembered this. My first Christmas working at this backbreaking, partially dangerous, physically demanding job, she gave us $1 scratch off tickets instead of a Christmas bonus. Annoying but what can you do? My second Christmas working there, she gave us all a choice to choose between three different self help, get rich books. I don't remember what the other books were, but they were $20 a pop. There were ten of each self help book, so thirty books in total. She spent about $600 on shitty self help books instead of using that money to help us out on the holidays and give us a little Christmas bonus. The book I got was “The Latte Factory” Fun.

Healthcare provided by the employer is an absurdly bad idea

Oh boy, where do I even start? The American system, where many people rely on their employer for health insurance, and this is a huge problem. “Why?”, you may ask. This system creates multiple problems for employees, such as not being able to quit their job due to the fear of being uninsured. However, the even bigger problem for me, personally, is that currently many people's health insurance is controlled by a company, that aims to keep them at work as much as possible. This means that it's directly in the employer's interests to give their employees bad insurance plans, to prevent them from going to the doctor, and then demand a doctor's note for paid sick leave. Talking about sick leave, it's absolutely outrageous that the amount of sick days/year can be predetermined. This coupled with the fact that in some states you can literally fire the employee for…
