Wtf is the matter with job postings?
I get a call to set up a job interview for a pizza delivery job that pays about minimum wage and tips for 25 hours a week. Then they go over all the extra stuff not listed on the application. Like weekend mostly, and sometimes when it’s busy you have to work doubles on the weekends. Also you have to work counter and cook sometimes… it just said delivering. Why do they try to get you to work so much more then what your applying for, for so little? I politely said that’s not gonna work, it’s just frustrating. Like you should tell people what you want from someone and the pay for all jobs up front. Instead of just wasting people’s time.
What an enticing offer…
Backstory: I left a previous SaaS company for another SaaS company (different markets of products) and had the worst experience being onboarded. I was outright lied to about the salary (but they somehow still provided me more than what I had previously made), my title was changed after a month at the company, and my “sign-on” bonus was a “poorly worded end-of-year bonus.” That “poorly worded end-of-year bonus” that I was promised to be paid in full was another lie, I was provided a shitty prorated portion of it when I left the company. I stuck around knowing that, while the company was a bold-faced liar, I could work roughly an hour a day and focus on obtaining all of those juicy certificates that I had not been able to afford. I got to spend a lot of time taking care of myself and my burn-out, I am very thankful…

I (23M) Managed a cbd/smokeshop making 17/hour working 45ish hours a week. Sales when i took over were 1,700 a day and i got them to 4,300 on weekdays 5-6k profits on weekends. Felt very lucky to have it and felt relatively well compensated with bonuses every once in a while. As sales grew, my employees (college students) who worked part time also went from earning 10/hour to 12 and some 13. Fast forward to getting robbed by three guys screaming with guns pointed in my face. Thought I was going to die. Called up my boss (30M) immediately after and the first words out of his mouth were “What’d they take?” They got about 800$ from the register and $1000 in product. Boss says he wants me to keep it a secret from the other employees and will pay me $500 to do so. Cops show up and give…
