Employee Notice Question!
I recently accepted a job offer in private Corp (Jan 2022) I am well educated and have experience in finance The reason I switched job was because I wanted out of sales. This new job promised corporate experience and great opportunities for growth. I accepted, taking a small pay decrease (as I didnt have any corporate experience prior) Fast forward till now. Their internal workings and financial reporting are a mess! There is major communication issues internally and my pay is always 3-10 days late. They haven't been repayed my expenses that are owe (over 3k to date) and other things promised to me in my contract. They also promised registration of my licenses and financial certifications, which I now know will never happen , which could cause these to laps causing me to re write exams to re certifi/ license., thus spending money money! I Have also heard rumors…
Faking to making it
Did anyone faked experience references to move up to better job ? Say you work retail walmart and hate it and wan to move up in life. Making 18hr at any job will not let anyone buy a home. You need $50 hour to have a chance at better life. So how you go about moving up to better job say IT without a previous job experience. Did anyone done it before ? Did anyone hired a friend or agency to provide references ?
Same position 5 bucks more
Hey guys! I just discovered my position online posts a higher salary almost 5 bucks extra. With going back to the office,I feel like I need to raise this or the opportunity to press in will vanish. Question is should I wait for yearly review or start looking for jobs to have leverage? Thx for y’all opinions
Manager Does Not = Leader.
CEO, COO, President, Vice President, Manager, and etc… These and others are job titles that describe a position with a company. This does NOT make them a leader, their actions are make them worthy of that title. Never be afraid of a JOB title.
I need a little advice.
So I’ve been working at a job for about a year now, still at 10$/hr, and recently I’ve been working 40-50 hours a week because we’re short staffed(me and 2 other people). I’m getting burnt out and I came up with an idea to threaten my boss by telling him that if I don’t see written proof that you’re going to give me at least a 2$ raise then I’m not coming in anymore. Should I go through with it? I don’t have another job lined up completely yet but I can’t work here anymore feeling like I’m being exploited.
my first job is a nightmare
I work at a retirement home, as a server in the kitchen. My work is bottom of the barrel. You know those kitchen you see in Nightmare Kitchen with Gordon Ramsey? The kitchen is one step away from that. The server area is a cluttered mess; even when the new boss tried to deep clean it. The schedules have me working like a dog currently while I'm still a student and trying to balance paying bills and good attendance. My coworkers are some of the biggest scum I have met, along with my ex boss; who I have to CLEAN UP AFTER. The chef does stuff that would health inspectors in tears; and my GM and his team do borderline illegal stuff out in the open. I started around 5-6 months ago, when a classmate who was at the job suggested it to me. I happily applied after I had…
at the home that I’m only in long enough to sleep since I’m working the rest of the time.
