If you can clean, you can lean!
I’m just going to come out and say it. Lately I’ve seen this sub move towards banning landlords and having a serious dialogue around this. I actually think anyone who is existing in the top 15% of society must be a leach of some kind and has no place in this community. With the trickle down style in which our economy was crafted I think one thing we fail to realize is that anyone in the top of society is actively pushing those of us in the middle and bottom tiers down. Maybe it’s unintentional but it’s there none the less. Think of it this way. You grow up, and then you decide you want to exist within the area you grew up. Enter: big tech workers. CEO’s. Middle management. These leaches making $100k and more per year step into your world as a complete stranger and all but FORCE…
Is Putin a communist or fascist?
I’ve been on the sub for about 9 months and I’ve been wondering since the whole Ukraine ordeal weather or not Putin is a communist or facial. He seems more fascist.
You should take some lessons from the boomers that thought robotic manufacturing would increase production and reduce labor to the point we could live in luxury. Yes, this is a boomer idea. Look at boomer media depiction of the future. The luxurious world of the Jetsons still has people working where jobs require comedically little work and are an archaic concept. You don't see Marty McFly's future stalemated with the workload increased, you see him in more luxury. Because the fantasy was machines would do the work, people could live to pursue their dreams. Technological advancements in practice does the opposite of the fantasy. The increased production capabilities of new machines results in workers having to work more to operate the machines. Slaves at the time of the civil war worked far more than at the time of the country's founding. The Constitution gave the south 20 years of unregulated…
3pm naptime – Thoughts?
For the longest time, I've watched my dog enjoy a hard 3pm naptime. This usually goes on for roughly an hour and I noticed she seems very relieved and rambunctious afterwards. I work for a large meat packing facility that abuses and undervalues their employees. For the last few weeks I've been attempting to convince management to allow us a 1 hour naptime during our shift as a means to increase worker satisfaction. My direct supervisor had the gumption to tell me to “Take my a$$ back to kindergarten” I'm thinking of forming a labor strike if nothing changes. Thoughts, comrades?

QQ about employment law
TLDR I got hired, signed paperwork, sent a laptop, phone, then terminated without reason a day before I was to start. Is that legal? Good thing I didn’t give my notice.
So my absolute dick of a manager always gets mad when I go overtime despite scheduling me an extra 5th day(I usually work 4 days a wk). She always says its my job to manage my own hours and of course, as the MANAGEr, she's completely right despite her being the one in charge of the schedule (it's only like 8 staff btw and she can very easily pull up my time clock). I'm almost always first in last out which is why 4 days a week usually works for me. During the last office meeting, she said going forward, overtime that isn't approved beforehand will be withheld and not paid out. Surely this has to be illegal right? I'd love for nothing more than for her to withhold my overtime pay so I can file a report with the Department of Labor and have the office fined for her…
