How I Survived 90 Probationary Periods
Hi everyone. The 90 probationary period is basically the time at work where you will be scrutinized the most. It's also a time when you are less likely to be forgiven for call-outs and tardiness. It can be a terribly stressful time. Here is how I survived probationary periods at every job I had. I hope it helps! https://www.supereasycrm.com/blog/how-to-survive-probationary-period
I made the mistake of working for a certain staffing agency, Aerotek, at a call center, I worked there for 5 months and missed overall, 3 days, of course I would always email or give them a notice in advance. I get a call on Friday that I was let go due to my attendance and their attendance policy rules and points, it’s usually 8 points and you’re let go, if you’re late it’s half a point, which is ridiculous. Anyways many of my coworkers were rehired after being fired for attendance and when I asked the hiring manager why I wasn’t eligible she told me because of my attendance, I understand how staffing agencies work but how are others being able to be rehired despite barely being at work 95% of the time, the favoritism is as clear as day and is making me really angry, as an employee…
Give me your opinion !
Hi! So my bf (18) is working at a local supermarket and I (18) work from home with my small business. So recently because of us finishing Highschool and my mom kicking us out in the next couple of weeks, we have needed some extra time off for him so we can sort out our business. Also I must mention that he also runs his own business which is moderately successful and he can definitely afford to be able take a day off a week from work. He’s explained to his Manager how he’s making money outside of his day job and also need some time to figure out graduating and moving out. So my boyfriend has been asking for a day off every once in a while in about a weeks advance and now his manger is retaliating by scheduling him for 9 days (he is a schedule that…
What do you guys think about this?
I texted my boss last Monday night stating that I was starting to come down with a cold. He proceeded to say come in tomorrow and wear a mask. There are 2 other people that understand the processes of inbound and outbound shipments. Those other people were either in hospital for the week or getting surgery and in recovery. I worked the entire week and felt like absolute death on Friday. My boss asks if I can work overtime Sunday to reduce the backlog of orders (we work Monday-Friday). I replied saying I need to rest and hopefully get over this cold. It's now Sunday afternoon and I haven't left my bed yet? I've already left my job once for more money but came back because of my coworkers. I've been contemplating the last few months about leaving and just waiting for the time to be right. I think the…
1 is this legal? I have to assume so since so many companies probably do it already. 2 I already called out of work but they put me on the schedule, if they reprimand me what options do I have?
