I’m looking forward to the boomer generation passing.

I love my parents and many other boomers, but I feel like I am 10X more productive than they ever were from a capitalistic standpoint. Yet they have 25X my wealth. Boomers are also stubborn as hell about very serious issues like income inequality and global warming, and they are responsible for a 30 trillion dollar deficit in the US. Management, how out of touch are you?

The branch of the company I work for had the best quarter we've ever had. For some small context, we are mechanics for a very specialized field and we work in very dirty environments and deal with lots of grease. We got an email today asking “what's your jacket size?” With basically no context. Apparently, management decided to buy us all jackets. In mid May. In a color that will be ruined within a week if any of us actually wore it to work. I watch our sales numbers. I know exactly how big of a quarter this was for the mechanics, especially after covid. Fuck Unpaid Externships

By the time I found out this was unpaid I was too deep in the program to get my money back. I do want to continue on into this career field, so I stayed. My brother got a second job and we used my tax return to cover the bills. I have to fill 180 hours in six weeks. 180 hours when I've always been paycheck to paycheck. We took a loan to move here, the alternative was being homeless, and I had to take out a personal loan to cover the tuition student loans wouldn't cover. Took out a credit card a few years ago for emergencies and to help build credit, it's always been at the top of it's limit since. I’m being pushed out of a job that I love! what do I do?

Been with a Midwest telecom company for 10+ years. For about 8 years I've got nothing but amazing reviews. Promoted multiple times. But that's all changing. I'm getting written up tomorrow in a clear attempt to push me out while training my replacement at the same time. At will employment state. I believe this is coming from me mentioning that I have a lot of hours that I'm working without pay because they required me to forward my office phone to personal, even after hours. They offer a $35 phone reimbursement. On top of that. Boss talks about fucking a rich guy so she could be a sugar momma but I'm getting written up for saying “hell” as in “what the hell am I supposed to do for daycare” when they required 5 hrs of overtime outside of when my daycare is open.
