Is the choice of the boot to be inclusive of people with disabilities??? Because that is a temporary injury that means that this person should not be working long shifts on her feet moving products around. It’s just sad

Seriously?!
It was my first job, I needed to move on, but I was hesitant because they trained me me and trusted me when I was just out of college. I told my boss I needed something else but was hesitant when he dropped this gem of wisdom : “[company I worked for] is just a company, you don’t owe them anything, if you want to leave, just do it” You do not owe your company a thing : they train you for their benefit, they pay you because you make them more money, they are nice to you because it’s costly to find and train people. If you need to move on, move on. Keep in touch with the people you like, and if they blame you for leaving they aren’t worth the effort .
I'm a PhD student who has just started mystery shopping for some extra cash. I cannot believe some of the interactions I am supposed to have with these employees. Here's an example. I get an assignment for Best Buy, I'm supposed to be interested in a streaming box (Roku, Fire etc.) and ask an employee for help. The employee who I interacted with was super helpful. I told him about my TV and what I wanted, while pretending not to know much about technology. He said that honestly it didn't matter which brand I bought and that he found one particular brand to be pretty user friendly which was great for new people, but otherwise it was okay to just get the lowest cost one. He made sure I understood how it plugs into my TV, ensured I have a way to connect it, and made sure I was taken…
*I'll add link to emails in the comments This one's a long one. Essentially, been in the wedding/catering/restaurant industry where I live for a while. Mother in-law and I worked in tandem at a popular wedding venue and met a local caterer/restaurant owners. Friendly with us for a few years. MIL kinda got burned by venue director (we're friends at a previous job for like 10 years, but director has always been shitty and uses people as stepping stones) so she quit. Caterer asked her to be GM at their little restaurant attached to a hotel. She agrees (has never worked restaurants but its not rocket science). They want me to server/bartend/do events. I agree. Looking for a stress-free easy job and this is it. The more we work there, the more we see how fuckin nuts this guy is. She eventually tells him restaurants aren't for her and he…
Some background: I like to think I’m good at my job. I work hard, take on extra work, manage people, and try to develop new processes/ways to do better and make things easier. I work as a supplier for a big company, so working directly with clients and helping develop materials to meet their business objectives. The situation: I was recently told a good chunk of my responsibility would be moving to someone else. This person is a director level, and while they have good ideas, they have zero follow-through, are unreliable, and without a doubt, don’t like me (they once talked down to me for 90+ minutes about how coming up with ideas was their job, and not mine). Leadership is aware of their issue with me, as it’s been going on for years. No one else has issues with me, but plenty have issues with them. Weird. Fine.…
