Why don’t Comapny get this simple logic, that its evey single cog in the watch has to work and each and every part is important not just the Hands that shows time on display !!!

Why do managers treat people like they are disposal ?? Why do they think company mindset is their own mindset ?, like if company says more than 3 mins late is half a days paycut, why do they feel that they have saylve thisoney and find every employee who comes late even at 4 mins ??? Do they think all these momey saved is going in their pocket or they just love being sadist and see their fellow mate suffer ??

If you work with or serve men right now, you are a fucking champion

Seriously, it’s all I can do to not treat every man I see with open, loud contempt to varying degrees. I just try not to engage. Boomers and Christian fascists are bad enough, but even just the millennial white ones going about their day to day lives, all I can think is, “ This dude probably put more effort into the Dark Souls series than he ever did making sure Trump didn’t get elected. I bet if it came down to my civil rights or a PS5, he’d take the PS5 every time.” Then again we’re talking about a generation of dudes who used to whine about Anita Sarkeesian raising money for a mediocre web series, and who have been wildly uninterested in anything political that doesn’t immediately affect them, because South Park told them from an early age that caring was for dumbfucks. I don’t even want to look…

After two years of fighting for fair compensation I got a 9$ raise

The company I worked for has about 50,000 employees. A raise approval for all of the grunts on the ground has to go all the way up the chain to the guy second from the top, it's insane. After 2 years of empty promises, manipulation and delayed raises I finally worked my last day there today! I had been looking for another job for over a year. I did land an interview with a competing company but they ended up hiring someone else (ironically another coworker). At the time I had asked for 30/hour to attract me to his company (was making 25/hr). 8 months later he contacts me and asks me if I'm still interested as the other guy didn't work out. I took this 30/hr offer to my manager. After a few days they agree to increase my hourly rate by 2$ to 27$/hr, less than the other…

Business Owners

It's amazing how many business owners insist that they got where they are solely by their “own hard work” and then lose their shit when their staff leave and they finally find out what hard work actually is when they have to do it themselves.

Tired of hearing the phrase “nobody wants to work anymore”

I hear this more and more from people to describe the labor shortage. People do want to work, they just want to stop being treated like a number on a spreadsheet. I worked for our local supermarket chain and I also worked in bigger corporate environments. At the local company, managers took an interest in getting to know you. They understood that work is not the only thing going on in your life. They resist a lot of automation, which really me feel like I was valued more. And at the end of the day I wasn't miserable so I was more motivated to stay and work overtime. People do still want to work; if anything a lot of people are working harder than ever.

Finally quit my shit job at publix :)

After working months with a short staff in the deli department and no recognition for my hard work I finally walked out. And when I say short staff, I mean I was the only staff during certain times. This day happened to be one of those times and it was busy. As I was making 14 online order just after clearing the line, I accidentally dropped the metal tray for the toaster… without hesitation the deli manager tells me that I am not going to break shit and that I should go home. I left without a word but i won't be back. There are so many more reasons why I quit but I should've done this awhile back. Never thought I'd be disrespected when I work so hard to avoid that. I cant tell anyone what to do but I recommend to just quit a shitty job then let…

What is a boomer in the workforce?

It's an older boss or coworker who has issues with you being on your phone, but you still get the same amount of work done. It's an older boss or coworker who complains about you leaving at 5pm because they have to stay up so late just to get the same amount of work done. It's an older boss or coworker who watches your screen to make sure you're always working. It's an older boss or coworker who is bothered when you're resting for a minute because you finished your work early. So, they find new tasks to give you.

Compromising your mental health for some referrals

I hate my job. I honestly just want to get out of it. So it started a year back and as an intern I joined this company. I was liking the work until one day, almost 2 months into it, my boss started getting too close to me. He is the CEO and the company is pretty small, so I knew nothing world happen even if I went to the HR. Everyday just kept getting worse. I quit after a few day saying I was prepping for my entrance exams. After a month, they contacted me again and wanted me to help them out (basically part time) with an event. I needed the money and I said yes (worst thing and I regret it). It was all going fine and I would have a meeting with them once a week ans update with my work. I was happy. Around 2…

My question how does anyone’s conscious allow them to treat a fellow human like shit just because your company/managment says so ??

Sometimes I see managers / bosses enjoy treating people like shit, are they really dead inside ???
