Coach at work is doubting my disabilities

So im writing this before I go into my store manager to talk with him about this with another coworker cause were starting to get real fed up with his shit. Ill update as soon as we get back. Anyway getting to the meat of the story. So I started working at this place in late January, and its been a complete uphill battle the entire time. I work at wally world (blue and yellow star store) And I applied for overnight stocker full time. Well they put my schedule at part time until they finally fixed it last month even though I've asked multiple times for them to change it. But this particular story involves my coach, which is like the highest position on overnights. Theres team leads which are like managers and then coaches, and he's the overnight coach. Whenever he works I immediately get stressed and the…

Recently laid off. I need income but I need to be there for my 4yo. I’m lost on where to go from here

I worked for my dad for over a decade and left due to a toxic work environment. I was well paid and able to bring my daughter to work. She was and is in school from 8:30-11:30. I decided to nanny so I could pay some bills and still be with my daughter. I found a great fit where I would have a bit of a break during the day and could still take my daughter to speech therapy. There was a death in the family and I was let go because they could not afford me anymore. This job would’ve been perfect bc it ended when my daughter started kindergarten and then I wouldn’t have to worry about school tuition. My husband can support our family but I don’t think being a full time SAHM is for me. I am unsure if I want to go back to nannying…

OSHA or Sue?

Been at local restaurant owned by a family buying up all the joints they can that have character in the downtown area. Dish pit I work in has no working vent. Small room about 8×15 with an incline roof. I have been in the industry for years. Every industrial washer has a hood. This does not. Water sprays out of the AC high on the wall so it hits clean dishes. This water is rust and mold colored. The vapor out of the washer makes both my sinuses and lungs hurt but also the nephew of the family. We also believe the black mold is effecting our mental health. There is a remodel but it won't come before damage to us is done. I asked for fungicidal. I asked for a vent. They know all of the hazards and do nothing. I've been there a month now and love the…

Reflection on child labor laws

Hi all, I'm an American spending the summer in the Philippines, and having seen children (under ten years old) working here, I feel I got some insight into why child labor laws exist, from a radical leftist perspective and how it supports our views on work itself. I'm staying in rural area, and there are two types of work in particular I've seen small children doing. One is at the local “mall”, they put cardboard covers on the seats of parked motorcycles and scooters, and riders give a voluntary 10 peso (about 20 cents US) tip, some may pay more if it's raining. The other is near the beach in a tourist area, they carry around trays of cheap souvenirs which they sell at a significant markup. At first I naively thought, ah, well, this is a cultural difference. But they are bringing in a decent daily haul compared to…
