How to deal with burnout/exhaustion?
Or any advice on how I can help my boyfriend deal with his current work situation? He is aware that his job is time consuming/draining, but he keeps saying stuff like “Thats the way it is” and “My parents had to work harder.” After his shift, he gets into bed, sleeps, isolates, goes to work again, repeats. He feels constantly tired and refuses to visit his family and see friends. He rarely opens up about his issues and if he does it seems like he feels a great load of shame like he isnt supposed to be emotional or depressed. I tell him that I am here to support him, but it feels like he is becoming more empty day by day. I love him a lot, and it hurts to see him this way. So, context: He's smart, and there's a company policy that new staff can resign within 3 months. He was quitting at the last working day of the third month. HR said, if he doesn't put his 2 weeks notice and doesn't want to “work” with them, then he won't receive his pay for the month.
