what no shame looks like
I work as a RN on a psychiatric unit at a NYC public hospital. I was out just about all of 2021 after being badly injured by a violent patient. Workers Comp fought me tooth and nail and I was forced to sell my personal belongings to survive. (I’ve finally won my WC case and am waiting for my reimbursement of pay, sick/vaca time used and a one time settlement based on permanent injury % to one of my limbs). I’ve been busting my ass since coming back trying to buy some things I was forced to sell while out while also paying down the credit card debt I was forced to run up. So I’ve been working a lot of OT. I’m going to New Orleans for a short getaway starting next Wednesday. My only days off before that were Sat/Sun this weekend. My boss told me she needed…
TLDR: I was told that I was selected for the position but yet did not receive any offer letter from the HR team following that. Subsequently, I was informed (just this morning) via Whatsapp that I was no longer being considered for the position because of missing documents? Essentially this was what happened: Shortly after the interview, I was informed by a member of the HR team that I was selected for the position and he requested I submit a few documents (ID, Educational Cert and last 3 months payslip) for them to proceed with my offer letter. At that time, I gave him my documents with the exception of my payslip and informed him that this was due to an existing non-disclosure agreement (NDA) in my existing contract legally forbidding me from sharing information about my remuneration package with other parties. Said HR personnel told me that it was ok and that…
Applying for the same job multiple times
Hello, I’m not sure if this is the right sub to post this but here I go. There are many job openings that I see being recycled over and over again every few months. Personally I’ve applied for a job I wanted really bad but after the first interview I got rejected because they went with another candidate as they said (my best guess is because I asked for “too much money”). One month later I saw the same job opening but I didn’t apply since I got rejected. This is generally something that has been on my mind since I’m still looking for a job, especially for future instances like that. So my question is, have you ever been in this position? Did you apply again and if so what happened? If you didn’t, why not?
