So I work for a very large corporation, and this was a while ago. Like last year or so, but it’s funny af so wanted to share So I transferred to a new location (my field of work is diesel mechanics, so work in a shop that does oil changes and things of that variety) My previous shop had a few barrels for used oil filters, that would be hauled away every few weeks This shop also has a barrel, and one day my boss texts me and says “oh and empty the oil filter barrel too please” And I’m like “mkay where at? Thought people picked that up?” She goes “our shop doesn’t do enough oil/fuel filter changes to profit enough to be able to pay for those disposal services, so we just throw them in the trash compactor” I reply “lmao oh, pretty sure that’s illegal as fuck”…
