I am a lead generator for a pressure washing company. My performance is solely based on leads not sales. If you live in the Houston area and want to help me not work dm for details. I have to get my numbers up or I’ll get my hours cut.

Hi, The main argument I hear against increasing minimum wage is that it will cause inflation. Now, I am not an economist but it doesn’t make sense. It’s not like it means printing money, it just means that more money that will otherwise go to corporate will go to workers, who will be able to afford more stuff and buy more. So the argument is because people will have more money to spend stuff will cost more, so that one is based on corporate greed will cause inflation if people will have more money. Or they will need to pay people more and will enroll in to people and thus increase prices. But it will still be ok, since if someone make more money he will be able to still afford that stuff. Right now what happened is that prices are increasing anyway, only that people salary is not. So…
This is wage theft, right?
Starting in summer 2020, I began a side gig where I tutored/taught mostly to kids located in China, but some stationed in the US. The company provides its tutors with students, a tutoring/class schedule, and an hourly rate. Starting about a year ago, tutors/teachers in the company have been asked to complete unpaid tasks such as attending virtual meetings and completing “training” to use new learning management systems. The company has its tutors sign W-9 forms, which seems like they view us as independent contractors. However, the nature of the work does not seem in line with that classification. I don't know very much about this, so I was hoping some kind souls here might chime in to offer insights.
I was interviewing for two years before I landed a job that fit my needs. This was OK though because I was currently employed so I took my time. Some Companies only had two interviews, most three, but the most amount of interviews I had at an employer was eleven. That’s actually the job I have now so it was worth it. Eleven is completely ridiculous, however all we’re remote so I dealt with it. What has everyone else’s experience been like as far as a number of interviews?
it seem like even if things go good for months at this job or a year or two at another. i always end up basically having to tip toe around my boss to please them. it’s kinda psychological but i just don’t see how a grown man can be comfortable having another man tell him what to do at the drop of a dime. perhaps once i get my cdl A i’ll atleast have a skill that makes me harder to replace , and i can have more bargaining rights as i work to build my own company but i’m just exhausted answering to higher ups.
Punch stuff
Well… I have an easy job but my boss makes it suck… I love people and I love the owner but deep inside I wonder… is it normal or ok or legal to break shame employees … by break shame I mean I hear this when I go on break … where’s my helper at?!!! That’s what you get when you hire help as soon as it hits 12 they are no where to be found and they wait the entire hour before they clock back in… Also the dude is yelling at everyone even himself .. throws tools and punches shit … so how do I deal with such a place .. I’m not just gunna quit but for those who know me if I did quit no one would believe me if I told them what I deal with at work because it sounds so ridiculous it has…
My company doesn’t let us discuss wages
I just had my first day at my job in a well known convenience chain in Oklahoma, during my shift I was talking to my trainer and it came out that I’m making more than him, he was upset and is going to speak to the manager about it, the handbook says “Discussing salary, benefits, bonuses, evaluations, or any other compensation.” Is against rules. I’m worried they will take action against me and him, is this rule against Oklahoma labor law?
